| Holt Country Park |
Holt Country Park can be found on the B1149, just outside Holt. It is a large park offering a play area and a visitor centre and is open every day.
In early summer, you will see orchids at Holt Country Park, such as common spotted or creeping ladies tresses, as well as field scabious. Cowslips survive within the wood in areas of old meadowland. In the autumn a wealth of fungi may be found.
There are toilets, a small shop and ample car parking for which a small charge is made in peak season. You can buy season tickets for the car park and events, which are available from North Norfolk District Council on 01263 516298.
Work is continually being carried out to improve access for those people you are less mobile and one of the way marked routes is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There is disabled access to the visitors centre and there are adapted toilet facilities. |
